The Chief Executive Officer of Multinec Enterprise, Mr. Isaac Gyeku, has donated 10 brand-new Lenovo laptops worth GHS 60,000 to the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi, in support of the “Support One Needy Student with One Laptop” (SONSOL) initiative.
Mr. Gyeku noted that the donation forms part of the company’s commitment to giving back to society, adding that Multinec Enterprise remains ready to support impactful initiatives.
The items were presented during a brief ceremony with the Vice-Chancellor.
The SONSOL Project, led by Vice-Chancellor Prof. (Mrs.) Rita Akosua Dickson, provides laptops to brilliant but financially challenged students to enhance their academic work.
Receiving the donation, the Vice-Chancellor expressed appreciation for the gesture and commended Mr. Gyeku for his continual support to both the SONSOL initiative and the University.
She encouraged other organisations and individuals to contribute to the project to help bridge the digital gap among students.
